Russia: “Baltika” exported 1.3 million hl of beer in 2005

JSC “Baltika” was awarded for the fifth consecutive year with the honorific Diploma of the Best Russian exporter of 2005 for its substantial contribution to the development of foreign economic relations of the Russian Federation and the development of the export. This award is annually handed in by the Russian Ministry of economic development and commerce, The Union of Russian Brewers communicated June 29.

2005 was a prolific year for Baltica' exports. According to its annual figures, 1.3 million hl of beer were exported, 23% more year-on-year. Exports contributed 6% to total sales. The company’s export inputs exceeded US$72 million.

In 2005, “Baltika” acceded to Ireland, Finland and Norway beer markets. The company’s share of the Russian beer exports recorded more than 70%.
